Step 4: Once you click on register, you will be redirected to a new window which will open eBay again. Towards the top you will see a link to ‘Sell’, just click on that to start selling.

Step 5: Once you click on ‘Sell’, you will again be redirected. This time to a page where you can list the item you want to sell. Just start by typing the name of the item.

Step 6: You will see a list of suggested categories of the product you want to list. Choose the most appropriate one. If you don’t see it listed, just click on ‘Select one here’ at the bottom of the list and enter the category in the field that appears.

step 9

Step 10: Go on and add some good photos of the product. For a professional effect, use photos taken with a good camera (and not just a good camera), in a well-lit environment on a white background. Add a few products, especially showing all angles of the product and a close-up shot of the brand logo/label, if any.

Step 11: This is where you need to ensure that you enter all the relevant details related to your item, so that people can easily find it, especially if it is of some particular brand/make. Select quantity, brand, condition, etc.

step 11

Step 12: Now comes the turn of description. This is where you describe your item to tell people exactly what you’re selling. Make sure you’re as clear and descriptive as possible to help your sellers make the decision.

step 12

Step 13: You can then choose whether you want to auction the product or list it for immediate selling with a fixed price.

step 13

Step 14: In the next step, eBay will ask you to select how you will choose to post the item and might even suggest a few options. In case the item is too big, you can choose ‘Collect in person’.

Step 15: In order to list anything on eBay, you don’t need to pay anything. But once the item is sold, eBay charges a small commission which will be mentioned clearly at the bottom of the details page. Read it carefully and just click on ‘List my Product’ button and you’re good to go!
